It was a very cold night standing out there from from 3 p.m. through 7:00 p.m! Our thanks to all our participants in the 2010 living manger at Christ Church. Boe Rayer and Melissa McQuade, as well as Paul McQuade took the first shift as the Holy Family with attending shepherd. Relief came when Brian, Kayla, and Gregory Myers stepped in to cover the second half. The animals brought their own coats, save the poor llama. Being quite elderly for a llama the cold was a bit too much for her. She knelt down in adoration of the Christ Child and a blanket was thrown over her to keep her warm on a cold winter’s night.
Animals were provided by “Peaceable Kingdom”. Our thanks to their owner, as well as the animals themselves for standing out in the cold for the four hours.
There was almost no room at the inn for our 5:00 p.m. pageant. Despite the overflowing crowd we managed to squeeze the last few into the choir area. It was one of our best crowds ever. Many thanks to all our angels, shepherds, holy family, wise men, and readers. Thanks also to all the adults who helped organize the pageant this year.
