On Sunday, May 26th, the family of Carl (Buz) Johnson gathered after the 8:00 AM service to honor Buz with the raising of a new flag in front of the parish house in his honor. Buz served his country in the Korean war. He also served his parish as a long-time member of Christ Church.

Sunday is the Day of Pentecost! Come join us to celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Church. Readings in German, Greek, Latin, Czech, Hungarian, Ga, and French as we remember the passage from Acts 2:1-4:
“When the day of Pentecost had come, the disciples were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability. Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven living in Jerusalem. And at this sound the crowd gathered and was bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in the native language of each.”
Property Manager Robert White finishing up a tour of duty on the riding mower as he prepares the grounds for Sunday and for the Spring Fling on Saturday. Robert reports that the grass has been growing so quickly that he has had to cut it twice a week.
The property looks ship shape after a spring cleaning and mulching. This past week the flower ladies were planting flowers. Thank you to Nan Garthwaite and Carol Pindar for all their work, as well as others who assisted.
Looking for a perfect Mother’s Day gift? There’s still time! Our Annual Spring Fling will be held on Saturday, May 11th, from 9 AM to 2 PM.
