Brian Gallagher will be providing complimentary photographs in front of a special snowflake backdrop.
This event is for all ages both children and adults. Feel free to invite family, friends and neighbors. Dress casual or in your Sunday best. Our thanks to Bill Graham’s Auto Service and DU, Johnny Quayson for helping sponsor this event.
Robert White was just leaving the house on Wednesday when a large limb came down across the front of the rectory lawn. Fortunately he was not hurt, but he was quite surprised. The Ridley Park police came and the street was blocked off. As it turns out it was not a power line, but the phone and internet lines that were crunched. Verizon repair crews are expected Friday morning, after Jansen tree service removes the branch. For the time being the office is without phone or internet.
Please share this invitation with all your friends! Invite them to join us for the 2013 Christmas Eve Living Manger and Community Caroling at Christ Church. Caroling begins at 4 PM with hot chocolate served afterwards. (Children may pet the animals with parent permission–a great opportunity for next year’s Christmas picture!) Our children’s pageant with Eucharist follows at 5:00 PM. Choral Eucharists at 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM. Superb musical offering at 10:30 PM. Christmas day service at 10:00 AM.
Come join the Ridley community in welcoming Christ Child! Come find the true spirit of Christmas and the hope born Christmas Day.
We are blessed, once again, to host a living manger in front of Christ Church beginning at 3 PM. (The animals may be petted with permission of parents.) At 4 PM we will conduct our second annual community caroling in front of the manger and the Holy Family. Afterwards there will be hot chocolate served, with the annual Christmas pageant and Eucharist following soon after.
In addition to the 5 PM pageant, there will be festival Eucharists at 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM. There will also be a splendid musical offering beginning at 10:30 PM.
Christmas morning there will be a 10 AM Eucharist with congregational singing.

Collect for Second Sunday of Advent:
Merciful God, who sent your messengers the prophets to preach repentance and prepare the way for our salvation: Give us grace to heed their warnings and forsake our sins, that we may greet with joy the coming of Jesus Christ our Redeemer; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Come join us at the 10:00 AM service for St. Nicholas’ annual pilgrimage to Christ Church. St. Nicholas will be telling the story of helping the poor children of his day. He will also be passing out his traditional gold coins to all the children who come up for his sermon!
Almighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light, now in the time of this mortal life in which your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
